Michigan rockers POP EVIL have debuted the music video for their newest hit single, "Work" , which was released earlier this spring in the midst of uncertain times. The track arrived alongside "Let The Chaos Reign" , one of the heaviest songs the band has released yet, while "Work" counterbalanced it with driving guitars atop a grooving rhythm with electronic flourishes. The new animated video brings "Work" to life, tackling the angst and emotions of being stuck in a rut, the monotony of daily life juxtaposed with constant communication as technology is fused with all parts of life.

Even as the music business was dismantled and reconfigured, large chain stores shuttered, cable TV abandoned music videos as a format, radio playlists tightened, and thick-headedly bubblegum anthems celebrated, hard rock music has actually thrived, increasing in size and championed by an elite vanguard of ambitious bands. POP EVIL smashes through the odds like a battering ram, weathering the trials and tribulations of paying dues with a steadfast resilience owing much to their blue collar and middle class backgrounds, and building a worldwide audience one fan at a time. As the moniker promises when emblazoned on a CD or radio dial, POP EVIL conjures aggressive riffs and hard charging sing-a-longs with emotional heft and melodic power in equal measure. All of which being undoubtedly rare feats to accomplish as independent artists in any genre of music. But the highs were amazing.

Each new album cycle provides its own inspirations and challenges. We are always trying to be creative with respect to our live shows. Songs that inspire or motivate with positivity are always on our minds when writing, however we are always trying to be different and create more anthemic material when we write a new album. Every album happens during different times of our lives, so we never shy away from ideas that may come from our own current experiences. Compared to our last release, we wanted to stick with what we have always done with our yin and yang approach to our writing style. That plus and minus has always been the duality of our band.
